Tax Information:

Taxes are calculated utilizing the assessment value of the property, as set by the Regional Assessment Office, and then multiplied by the Tax Rate, as set  by the Township.  There are currently four installments billed annually.

The August and October  installments were the final billing for the 2002 year.  The final tax billing includes the balance of the taxes due for the current year minus the interim billing and includes a breakdown of municipal and education levies. 

A penalty of 1.25% will be imposed on each installment or part thereof remaining unpaid after due date and on the first day of each month in the current year and an interest rate of 1.25% imposed thereafter until such time as the tax account paid is up to date.

Fire Permits are required as of April 1st 2008. You can obtain a Shuniah Burning permit at your local Shuniah stores or at our office, 420 Leslie Ave.

Landfill Stickers will be on sale at the end of February 2008.  SEASONAL STICKER VALID UNTIL OCT 31/08.  THE FULL YEAR STICKER IS VALID UNTIL MAR 31, 2009
