Shuniah Landfill Sites

The MacGREGOR Ward Landfill Site is located on Highway 11/17,  2 miles west of McKenzie Station Road.  

Hours of Operation:   Wednesdays from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm    AND  Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm.

The McTAVISH Ward Landfill Site is located on Highway 11/17 1000 feet west of Silver Lake Road.

Hours of Operation:  

  Summer Wednesdays from 12 pm until 8:00 pm;  Winter Wednesdays from 10 am until 6:00 pm;

AND Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am until 5 pm.

RECYCLING - New since the spring of 2001 the MacGregor Landfill Site has added a recycling depot for corrugated cardboard.

 
Fire Permits are required as of April 1st 2008. You can obtain a Shuniah Burning permit at your local Shuniah stores or at our office, 420 Leslie Ave.

2008 Dog Tags  on sale January 1st 2008 

Landfill Stickers will be on sale at the end of February 2008.  SEASONAL STICKER VALID UNTIL OCT 31/08.  THE FULL YEAR STICKER IS VALID UNTIL MAR 31, 2009
