Free 2008 Clean up week.

Saturday May 17th through to and including May 25th 

There will be no tipping fees for non-hazardous household waste. 

MacGregor Landfill Site- Hours  Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm

Weekday hours 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

McTavish Landfill Site- Hours: Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Weekday hours 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The Municipality of Shuniah 's Public Works Department

The Municipality's Public Works Department maintains, inspects and carries out minor repairs on roads within the Municipality.

Some summer activities include maintenance, dust control, roadside maintenance, drainage, and gravel patching.  Winter activities include sanding, salting and clearing snow and ice from the roads.

Garage Hours of Operation:  7:30 am until 4:00pm  

The Public Works Yard is located at 101 Coral Bay Road.

Fire Permits are required as of April 1st 2008. You can obtain a Shuniah Burning permit at your local Shuniah stores or at our office, 420 Leslie Ave.

2008 Dog Tags  on sale January 1st 2008 

Landfill Stickers will be on sale at the end of February 2008.  SEASONAL STICKER VALID UNTIL OCT 31/08.  THE FULL YEAR STICKER IS VALID UNTIL MAR 31, 2009
