RESTRICTED FIRE ZONE
IN EFFECT
**NO FIRES**
Due to increasing fire hazard and the increased forest fire
activity in Northern Ontario, the Ministry of Natural Resources
and Forestry has declared a Restricted Fire Zone, including the
Municipality of Shuniah, in effect at 12:01 am June 1, 2023 until
such time as the order is revoked by the Ontario Minister of
Natural Resources and Forestry.
ALL fire permit privileges are suspended and no open fires or
fireworks will be allowed within the Municipality.
