Council for the Municipality of Shuniah has awarded a tender to Fotenn Planning + Design to prepare a new Comprehensive Zoning By-law to be consistent with municipality’s Official Plan.

Community members are encouraged to reach out to municipal staff with their feedback and input regarding the New Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

Shuniah is excited to announce the initiation of the process to update the strategic plan that encompasses the years 2024 – 2028. The municipal strategic plan serves as our roadmap for the future, guiding decisions that will impact the well-being of our community and its residents.

The “Senior of the Year” award in Ontario recognizes outstanding seniors (age 65+) who have made significant contributions to their communities through voluntary or professional activities. Municipalities nominate individuals, and the provincial government recognizes these achievements.
