2026 District School Board Elections
The City of Thunder Bay’s City Clerk is the Returning Officer for school board elections.

KEY DATES
- May 1, 2026 – Nominations Open
- May 1, 2026 – Third Party Registration period begins
- August 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. – Nominations Close
- August 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. – Last Day to Withdraw Candidacy
- August 24, 2026 – Candidates Certified
- October 23, 2026 – Third Party registration period ends
- October 26, 2026 – Election Day
- November 15, 2026 – Term of Office begins
- March 26, 2027 – Deadline for filing financial statement & auditor’s report
